Imperialism in third world countries was a very good thing that impacted the world in a very positive way. The countries that we have today would not be here without the hard working civilized America and Great Brittan. True that they benefited; but we owe our gratitude for our world today to them. Civilizing the uncivilized is no easy feat.
If the 2016 U.S. presidential election has taught the world anything, it is that where the United States is concerned, so is the rest of the world. The U.S. has been, and continues be, seen as one of the most powerful countries in the entire world. Henceforth, a highly controversial discussion for debate would be over whether, when regarding American Imperialism, if it is positive or negative. When looking at it from an international standpoint, the era may not have been considered “humane”, so to speak. The U.S. had already been the most powerful country of this era.
Imperialism is when a stronger country controls a weaker country for its own benefit. During the late 18th century and early 19th century, a lot of the countries in Europe were attempting to gain control over new and different regions. These far away lands provided the modern raw materials needed to increase the industrialization within a country. The industrialization level of a country went hand in hand with Imperialism. The more technological advances a country had, the more raw materials that they needed.

The United States should cease to be an imperialist power as it is economically damaging to countries under its rule, costly to America, violates the fundamental American principle of self-governance, and exacerbates social and political situations in countries America has tampered with.
Imperialism allows countries to extend their power through a policy and influence through diplomacy or military force. The late nineteenth century was known as the “Age of Imperialism” a time when the United States rapidly expanded, defending many countries with not enough power to defend for themselves.
