In the story Juliet’s caretaker,the nurse, they have a stronger bond than Juliet has with her own mother. Because of this Juliet is closer to the Nurse than her mother and the Nurse can influence her decisions because of their bond, the Nurse plays a key part in uniting Romeo and Juliet. One Way Juliet is closer to the Nurse is because the nurse raised Juliet ever since she was a baby “ And she was weaned—I never shall forget it, Of all the days of the year, upon that day. For I had then laid wormwood to my dug, Sitting in the sun under the dovehouse wall.
This exchange of information shows that the nurse wants Romeo to know how Juliet feels because she wants them to stay together. Later, when Juliet is convinced that she is in love with Romeo, the nurse tells her she made the wrong choice. She says, “Well, you have made a simple choice; you know how to/ choose a man: Romeo! / ... he is not the flower of courtesy” (40). The nurse is now saying that she thinks Juliet made the wrong choice choosing Romeo and she should have chosen her family's recommendation, Paris.
As it states on page 166 “ I think it best you marry County Paris”. This proves that with the banishment of Romeo, Juliet's lover she would never want to remarry which foreshadows the death of Juliet. In conclusion, the nurse is responsible for the death of Romeo and Juliet by Keeping Secrets, and telling Juliet to Marry Paris.
The Nurse believes that Juliet is not fully grown to be married as she said “She’s not fourteen” (18). Her age has proven that she’s not mature enough to become a wife and indeed that she won’t be able to act or talk like an adult. And because at such young age, 13, it’s obvious to the maid of house Capulet to act innocent, especially in her response during the conversation about her marriage. Juliet replied to her mom obediently “I’ll look to like, if looking liking move” (Shakespeare 21) about the man that she’s going to marry without hesitation. She don’t even considered whether that man would be a good selection or not.
“To fetch a ladder by the which your love must climb a bird’s nest soon when it is dark” (Shakespeare 2.5). The nurse is telling Juliet that she will help Romeo see Juliet secretly. This shows that the nurse is helping to keep their marriage a secret by sneaking Romeo into Juliet's bedroom. The nurse also played a big role in the couple's deaths because she was so indecisive on who Juliet shall marry. In the beginning the nurse encourages Juliet’s relationship with Romeo.
She did not tell anyone that Romeo and Juliet were married. She should have told someone that they got married because they could have blamed her. The nurse helped her to get to Romeo. The Nurse would try anything to help Romeo and Juliet see each other. Their families hat each other with a passion.

In this case, it seems that Juliet has not had as much bonding with her Lady Capulet as much as she has with the nurse. Lady Capulet has always needed a person to help her even when it is something that she has been doing for years. Some people may argue that she doesn’t take care of her child as much

The day of Mercutio and Tybalt 's death she did not think Romeo would do such a thing, and now her thoughts about Romeo have changed instead she thinks Romeo would end up hurting her young lady.
Lastly, Shakespeare uses Romeo and Juliet to show true love. Nurse shows parental love to Juliet throughout the play. Despite being a servant to the Capulet household, she has a role equivalent to that of Juliet’s mothers and regards Juliet as her own. Even with the fact that Nurse is not the birth mother of Juliet, she still treats Juliet like a daughter. Nurse cares about Juliet and wants her to be happy and find success.”
The betrayal of the nurse by not staying loyal to Juliet in her most desperate time of need caused Juliet to lose faith in her and keep her thoughts a secret.” I think it's best you marry county oh he’s a lovely gentleman, Romeo’s a dishcloth to him”. Hence, instead of staying loyal to Juliet and helping her get out of a marriage the nurse goes against her and insults her husband, this act of disloyalty is what provokes Juliet to keep her plans a secret if the plans were not secret the death could have been avoided.
