Nelson Mandela had an unique life, an issue he had to solve, and was involved in the promotion of world peace. Apartheid is an awful word in South Africa’s history. Mandela solved this and many other problems while facing his own challenges. Nelson had to earn his life and he deserved almost everything he gained.

Nelson Mandela had an interesting and unique life. He was born on July 18,1918. His real name was Rolihlahla Mandela. Nelson was born into the Thembu clan and Xhosa nation of South Africa. Gadla, his father, was a very respectable man with four wives and thirteen children. Noskeni Fanny, his mother, was the third wife. Nelson was very academically smart with a bunch of talent and a mentor saw that, so Nelson was enrolled into Methodist school at age seven. Mandela’s teacher decided his name in class would be Nelson because of the difficult pronunciation. When he was an adult, Nelson had three wives and five children. After Nelson joined the ANC, he formed the youth congress in 1944. His goal was to establish real democracy in South Africa. He was the executive committee in 1944 and he became president of the club in 1952. On June 26, one of their first acts of defiance, walked through an all white area. Not just this one, but he helped in other ones too. Later on, he paired up with Oliver Tambo for a couple of years practicing and learning the laws. Because of all of the protests, the government started passing laws and acts. The Ghetto Act was passed which made Indians unavailable in certain areas. 70,000 miners went on strike because of low wage. Nine people were killed and 1,248 were injured. Nationalists, a group, wanted apartheid.
