Often times, people of this generation wander around aimlessly, waiting for someone else to tell them what their purpose in life is and what to do to achieve that goal. The journey, however, is finding that purpose for yourself, by yourself, despite yourself. There will be many times when obstacles block the true path that one is meant to be on. However discouraging this may be, when you make your own choices that dictate your path in life you are able to be content with the end result. A true journey is refusing to let another person make decisions that may or may not be vital to determining what path we arrive at in the end. That is too simple. No one knows what will happen next and that is enough to unnerve any solid, confident, and assured person. There is a movie, Mr. Nobody, that demonstrates the many possible outcomes and the various roads our lives may take based on a choice. The main character, Nemo Nobody, thinks over the decisions he made that changed his life forever; staying with his mother or father, saying certain words, which girl he falls in love with. Each of these choices made Nemo’s life phenomenally different in the end. The mystery itself is having to decide off of blind faith and your own judgement and this leads some to rely on others opinions too heavily. It is important to remember that even when the path is unclear or obstructed, if persistent, it can lead you to lasting happiness. A life spent doing what you love or working towards it, is a life well spent and one that will not be regretted in the end. The journey is about the tiring work put in along the way as well as the decisions that have been made to reach the end all
