One of the groups targeted in modern day witch hunt is called Neopaganism, and based on some of the data found, this group started in the United States back in the 1960s with some of its influences with the practice of the religion of Wicca, that it was develop in England.
Today in the United States this practice of religion is becoming more popular, other names also know to them are the New Age or Pagan. While it is becoming popular, there are also many people who are very discriminatory against this groups or form of religion.1

In today modern society the media has played a role in the influences of these type or religious practices, some of these shows are: American Horror Story, Bewitched and Charmed.

Also, some of the Walt Disney movies and TV shows are accused of representing these types of religious witchcraft practices.
