An Analysis of Excerpt of "Fireside Chats" by President Franklin D. Roosevelt In this excerpt from his speech, President Roosevelt is very organized and persuasive with his tone, appeal and his word choice. President Roosevelt's tone was one of belief in the recovery of the American people and of the nation and he strongly made his appeal to the emotions of the people saying that "fear is vanishing" and speaking of the faith of the people as well as stating that God was watching over America. His word choice was good in relaying his wish to help America recover from the Great Depression, making it seem like a personal desire rather than just a government project as he made it personal using the personal pronoun "our" multiple times in speaking

I volunteered at my local chapter for my senior year of high school. I got to work with the phenomenal staff at the chapter. I had the pleasure of meeting families who were very strong. As I traveled through each grade of the Croton-Harmon High School, my personal and academic goals helped to me to really flourish. These goals may have varied from year to year because a freshman is a little different from a senior, but they basically had all the same concept: I wanted to strive in school to be the best all-around student I could be, constantly stay focused and immerse myself in the Croton community. By setting my expectations and goals very high, I could flourish academically and really work to my full potential. By following these goals in school I pushed myself very hard and tried to take classes that would challenge me as well as help me to flourish as a student.
I have been an active member in multiple school extracurricular activities. Mu Alpha Theta is one of the clubs I part take in, and I have been a member for three years. I have been a member in National Honor Society for eleventh and twelfth grade.
I have done a toy drive for the CT Children 's Med Center for 6th and 7th grade. NJHS is about helping our school and community. Helping with the toy drive helped me understand how to do things like that, which can help with any drives NJHS will plan in the future. I also helped with a clothing and toiletries drive for the women’s shelter. This can again help with planning any school drives that might be done by NJHS.

Within all these clubs we volunteer in the community throughout the years, like the Chapman Township Haunted House we do for the community every year. In the summer I also participate in the Saint Joe’s Festival, which is held by the church I’m a member of. I usually help run the game stations.
It provides resources for teachers to help students with concepts they are struggling with or to give amazing ideas to get students more involved with learning these concepts. One of the ones I looked at is called “Demystifying Division”, where it has different activities for students to do so that they can work on understanding the concept of division. I would use this link towards “Student Explorations” if a student or class needs extra help with some math concepts or just to get students thinking with the ideas these explorations have to offer. 2) Who is the current president of NCTM?
Homeless people. Lazy. Criminals. Addicts. These are just a few of the many things that come to people’s minds.
Not only do these clubs recognize academic excellence, they also provide many opportunities for community service. Blood drives, food drives and Operation Christmas Child are only a few of the projects that we participate in throughout the year. I am
When taking a look into the society I call myself a part of; it can be placed into three perspectives. The three theoretical perspectives we may live in are; Structural Functionalism, Conflict Theory, and Symbolic Interactionism. The world may be a place where we all live congenial among each other with open arms and helping hands guiding us with structural functionalism. Rather, then live in harmony with everyone we may be in a world filled with greed and power hungry organizations leaving us with conflict theory. Though, we may also live in a accepting environment with individuals setting standard to be understanding with other people 's ideas and creative pathways they 're on through linguistics.
