Friederich Wilhelm Nietzsche is most easily distinguished, amongst the many esteemed Philosophers from the nineteen-century, by his notoriously difficult name, his large moustache and his ambiguous, ironic, figurative, and occasionally contradictory philosophies. It is evident that Nietzsche was considered a very influential man, since many of his words are still relevant today because of the impact it had upon the countless thinkers and groups of peoples of the past and, also, of the present: “Nazis, Marxist, religious cults, socialists, feminists, anarchists, Social Darwinists, Avant-garde artists, and even Cyberpunks. A promising career was ahead of him, as he did exceptionally well at school and university, especially excelling at the study of Ancient Greek that he was made a professor at the University of Basel, despite still being only in his mid-twenties. However, his official career as a university teacher did not work out, due to the fact that he believed the universities were killing humanities. The dry academic exercises led him to abandon his job and moved to Sils Maria (near the Swiss Alps) where he lived quietly and pursued his ultimate passion: writing philosophies. When he was only at the age of fifty-five, all of his problems: family issues, unable to sell his books, and being rejected by many women, finally precipitated to his formidable mental breakdown which eventually led to his death, after suffering for eleven years.
