The Nightmare Before Christmas could be argued as a Christmas movie or a Halloween movie. Just imagine, if The Nightmare Before Christmas was a Halloween movie, does that mean that Zootopia is a human movie? I believe that The Nightmare Before Christmas is more of a Christmas movie. You might think otherwise, and I’m fine with that. After this though, you might change your opinion. My first reason why The Nightmare Before Christmas is more of a Christmas movie is because there are more songs. There are five to six Christmas songs (depending on what you consider a Christmas song) and there are three Halloween songs. Each song takes about three minutes. That means that there was six to nine more minutes that are for Christmas, just from songs. That’s crazy! Anyways, if you don’t believe me yet, this point may change your mind. This was where one of the songs actually took place. Jack absolutely admired this town (as you can see with the smile on his face and him wanting to give presents). He even went as far as to KIDNAPPING Santa to give out presents. That just shows you how much of a Christmas movie The Nightmare Before Christmas is. Now, people may think The Nightmare Before Christmas is more of a Halloween movie because obviously there were WAY more Halloween characters, but Jack chose to be part of Christmas and nearly every character supported his decision. So, that just changed all the Halloween characters to support Christmas. Meaning, that they could be considered Christmas characters because their only trait about Halloween would be looking scary. That’s not really strong evidence to say that this is a Halloween movie. That’s all I have to say about it NOT being a Halloween movie (still more to say of why it is a Christmas
