The RUF go town to town raiding and destroying villages. Stealing food and supplies to fill their needs and they don’t have any sympathy for the people. Even if the people don’t get in their way, they will murder anyone in the villages. When the war came to Ishmael he found a village and they gave him shelter and food, but it return he was forced to fight against the RUF

He does not tell us the reasons the rebels were causing so much chaos, but he informed us that the army was doing it to attack them back. With the rebels, shown as evil beings, readers have a false perspective of their actions. The book did alter my perceptions because when the army was made to attack the Revolutionary United Front (RAF), it seemed as though they became the rebels by attacking innocent civilians rather than saving themselves and others from the attacks. I have a distorted view of the army and that they have committed just as many crimes as the rebels have. The soldiers imagined burning a rebel’s house they set on fire while Ishmael expresses, “We watch it burn and I laugh” (113).
The Assad Regime had fought them which causes many casualties, they even sent soldiers in suppress the opposition forces so they would riot attack the regime, which made the rebels filter with even more anger. The rebels are individuals who are rebelling against the government, which they believe is “corrupt”. Both sides claim to be fighting for what is right for the civilians. Caught in the middle of this deadly war, Ishmael was forced to fight for the government. While acting as a soldier, he was obligated to eliminate everyone in sight.
The Lost Boys of Sudan is a very interesting film. I thought it was very well documented and did an excellent job at portraying the life of a group of boys moving to America from Sudan. It effectively portrayed the growth of the boys as the spent more time in the foreign land. Although I felt that the entire film was very thought-provoking, the parts that had me thinking the most were the scene when Peter said “I cannot say America is good, or America is bad,” “I thought I came to America so I can gain something, but we don’t get it.
World Without Genocide states, “Over 480,000 people have been killed, and over 2.8 million people are displaced.” Using cultural relativism in the Darfur genocide, we can improve or stop the situation. Cultural relativism is understanding other cultures on their own terms, in their own context. A World Without Genocide says, the Darfur genocide started in 2003 and is being carried out by Arab militias called the Janjaweed.

The Negligent Carnage in Darfur Genocides are almost always started when a malevolent person who has so much hatred leads blind people to commit atrocious acts. In many countries people feel marginalized and discriminated against. In Darfur of 2003, two rebel groups went against the government and claimed to be oppressed (“Darfur Genocide”). The Khartoum government felt attacked, so he ordered the Janjaweed to brutally and maliciously raid communities. The lamentable events that caused the Darfur Genocide exemplify how many factors led to the gruesome killing spree including the Khartoum government harsh actions, the rebel groups going against the government, and the Janjaweed’s terrible intent to slaughter and molest Darfurians.
This was done by the use of fertilizers, pesticides and GMO’s. This led to world becoming more peaceful because no country felt as if they were forgotten about by the rest of the world. When people are starving they become desperate for survival and for justice. Getting justice and simply trying to survive almost always leads to violent revolutions and resentment/anger. If this happened in every developing country (Mexico, India, Philippines, Pakistan, etc.)
The one issue that every empire faced while trying to settle down in Central Asia, was the nomads. The nomads were people who moved around twice a year, north in the spring and south in the fall. When the empires would move around to find good pastures and water, they would run into several nomadic groups and conflicts would arise. These conflicts include battling it out and who ever lost either was killed or became slaves. This encouraged the empires and nomadic groups to pair up with each other, move farther away.
John Locke is an English philosopher that believes that a person remains the same person from one time to another as a consequence of memory. To prove his point Locke explains his thesis in An essay concerning human understanding. John Locke’s strongly believed we remain the same person through our memory and the “extension of consciousness”. In other words an individual will continue to be the same person as they were throughout their time period due to their memory. My opposition to Locke’s theory comes in reach where he assumes a person that has brain damage will change their personality or character because they are no longer conscious of who they were.
The violation of human rights was mostly due to the civil war between north and south tension, the Darfur conflict involving the Arab people in the Darfur region due to the fact that the elite in the country were mostly the Arabs with good lands and economic prosperity and control over the government, southern Kordofan and Blue Nile states issues. Comprehensive Peace Agreement interim that was signed in 2005 that was to end the rift between the north and south had promised to include human rights commitments in their bill of rights as part of its work too. The CPA work come to an end immediately after South Sudan was declared independent and with this statement the rate of human rights violation increased in both sides of the new boarder formed.
People believe that the primary cause of wars and violence worldwide is religion. They base this assumption on two reasons; the first reason is examples of some wars that were actually caused by religion, the second one is words in the religious books that are misinterpreted. Most of those who believe that religion is the cause of wars, give the example of the Israeli-Palestinian, which according to these people is caused by religious beliefs. Jews believes that Palestine is actually the location of the ancient land of Israel, which according to the Hebrew, was granted to the Jews by God.
