Nonverbal autistic children have a secret world inside them; a world which is beyond your wildest dream; remarkable, astonishing, and startling. They don't share their world, and we don't observe it too.
1 - Brain struggles to connect thoughts to words...
This is the first secret. Nonverbal autistic children are inadequate to fabricate words and phrases; they face difficulties using spoken language to describe their feelings. In a way, these children want to sing, but they don't understand how to speak. And, consequently, this communication deficiency waters down their confidence, prevents them from keeping friends, and leads them to social isolation.

Kids with autism, especially nonverbal, are disconnected from speech and language. They don't exactly know how to identify feelings on the faces and read the hidden message of communication. This thing makes them unable to judge your expectations. Some kids allege that they can read the emotions of others, but they do it without thinking in language; they have their own means of nonverbal communication.
In addition, most autistic kids don't know how to put feelings on their own faces while conveying their messages. In nonverbal autism, the brain stays busy to understand what someone else is saying and assemble what to say next. When someone emits complicated emotions, their minds fluster. They understand something is going on, but they don't get what exactly it is. Insufficient knowledge doesn't let them read all kinds of emotions. Plus, excessive consideration makes them slow learners and don't permit them to take the final decision.
5 - Imitate And Feel Your Emotions...
Nonverbal autistic kids can't read your emotions, but they have the amazing ability to imitate and feel your emotions. Many parents have mentioned that their kids perceive their emotions and act out appropriately; if they are agitated, their children are agitated too; if they are happy, their children are happy too.
