People go through many transformations throughout their life and in many different ways. There are many reasons for these transformations. It can be self-improvement, to live a better, happier and healthier life. These transformations and changes can be inner or outer needs but mostly derive from their inner feelings. Many people transform because of the feelings they have inside them, and they believe that this feeling is always the right decision. This is how Norma Rae felt in the movie, “Norma Rae”. What Norma Rae felt inside is a passion to help her family, her friends, and herself. It is what drives her throughout the movie to transform into a better person. He usually promotes the Union in the front of the factory that Norma Rae works at. One day, she decides to go to one of Reuben’s speeches and hear what he has to say about the Union. What she hears from Reuben’s speech are the same ideas that she has about the factory. With that, she decides that she also wants to work as a union organizer to help not just better her life in the factory, but her family’s life as well, as her husband, Sonny, her father, Vernon, and her mother, Leona both work in the factory as well. Her father usually feels ill in the factory because of the long work hours, and her mother is near deafness because of the weaving machines that she has to work at causes a very loud noise. This is because she used evidence against the factory to get them in trouble because of the racist note that they have put on their bulletin board and she tried to expose the factory. However, before she leaves, she decides to create a commotion by grabbing a piece of cardboard where she written the word “UNION”, and stood on her table. When everyone looked up to the sign that she held up, everyone knew that they had to turn off their machines because they all knew that working in the factory was a struggle for all of them, and they decided to listen to Norma Rae with this one word. She knew that she fully transformed herself in a blink of an eye to a full union organizer by not just stopping everyone from working, but that she changed everyone viewpoint of what the union is and what they can do to help everyone in the factory. At the end of the day, the plan to unionize the factory has worked, and glad she transformed to the person she
