North Korea was formed September Ninth, Nineteen Forty-Eight. It is the Communist country out of the Koreas. The Koreas split in Nineteen forty-five after the second World War. The split of these two countries ended the empire of Japan which had control over Korea for Thirty- Five years. Korea was divided at the Thirty-Eighth parallel. North was occupied by Germany after WWII making it a communist nation. South Korea was occupied by the Allied Nations. So this was always a conflict between the two in which grew into bigger problems. The Korean war started on June Twenty-fifth, Nineteen Fifty. It began at the Korean peninsula and Sea of Japan. In which the United States provided Eighty-Eight percent of the military force. After the first two months of war, South Korea was on the verge of defeat. They were pushed back to the Pusan Perimeter. But in September of Nineteen- Fifty the United Nations put a counter offense at Inchon. That attack helped cut off many North Korean forces. The South Korean forces pushed North Korea passed the Thirty-Eighth parallel and to the edge of Chinas border. Chinese forces then crossed the Yalu river and ended up in the war. The Chinese created a retreat of the United Nations until the middle of Nineteen Fifty-one. The Chinese pushed back the United Nations to the Thirty-Eighth Parallel. It then began a stalemate and turned into a dogfight. North Korea was subject to a massive bombing plan. But the first time in war jets were used.
