Q3 (a): Gather and document the MIS requirements.
Requirements
Airbooking.com is a web based system intended to increase the efficiency and reduce drawbacks found in the existing systems. Our system will not just book the tickets but also uses a number of tools in scheduling the flights, based on customer demands. To make our MIS complete and successful, there are some requirements which are:
IT Centre
A team, with technical IT skills, should be constantly present for the smooth running of the system.
Desktop Computer:
Minimum requirements: 1 GB RAM, 128 MB hard disk, Dual Core 2GHz 64-bit Processor.
Operating System: Windows 7 64-bit
Network Connection Driver: Realtek Local Area Network (LAN) driver
Hard drives:
320 GB HD

A customer demand module would be used to schedule the flight timings based on the customer demand. E.g., if more number of customers traveled from Pakistan to Dubai in the timings of 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm, then system will automatically schedule flights from Pakistan to Dubai with in these timings.
Flight Scheduling
Flights will be scheduled using the weather forecaster and customer demand modules.
Database
This part is very important because every that airline, who is connected to our system would be shown on our website and we must have access to those airlines’ database, because database is very important in our case, we must have all the information about that airline. Because when a client will ask about information of a specific flight and if we have access to that database, only in this case we would be able to inform the client.
Ticket Reservation
This module will allow the client to search of a specific flight, choose flight, details, confirmations, cancellations etc.
Administrator
This will allow the administrators to login the system and then allow him/her to add a new flight, cancel a flight, add a seat, cancel a seat, update flight schedules
