People start to solve more communication problems using emoticons these days.
4. Write a paragraph briefly describing the focus of your essay and the position you will be developing or arguing. Three lines only.
The unconscious use of emoticons is mainly due to the missing of paralinguistic part of expression in printing text. The use of emoticons can affect the communication distance among people in the written conversation.
5. Describe one piece of evidence from each article that you will use to develop your own essay. Describe how it will fit into your essay (it might be an example that supports your argument, a counter-example that you need to address, or a point that you can further build on and elaborate).

People use those positive emoticons, like the smiley face, more frequent than the negative ones. The most frequent used emoticon is the :-) with 35% of total emoticon usage.
