Brief summary:

Sabon designed by Jan Tschichold that started in 1964 and finished in 1967. The main reason for Sabon launched which was German Master Printers’ association requested that a new typeface was designed and produced in identical form on both Linotype and Monotype machines so that text and technical composition would match. Sabon is based on typefaces designed by Claude Garamond, who made many Old Roman typefaces. So Sabon belongs to a kind of traditional Roman typeface.
