People all over the world are quick to engulf themselves in the fantasy land where their favorite heroes are battling for their home and freedom. From action to romance, books are lionized and adored no matter the size or style they are written. However, our society has developed the internet and it went public in 1991. With this, people rush to post, blog, comment, and create their own work to be proud of and receive feedback on how it could be better. This belief appears misleading, because deep reading can be accomplished with any text, as long as there is an ambition for the text, there are always at least one if not numerous hidden mysteries within the text for the reader to notice and mull over. An example of this is in the social media platform, known as Facebook. Although the digital copy as well as the paper copy of the text are exactly the same, people still believe paper is more impactful for reading as well as that the digital copy leaves you with the inability to truly read deeply for the underlying thoughts of the author. The paper copy may allow you to feel closer to the text. Whereas on the other hand, digital text allows you to comment or also analyze the vast variety of opinions on the topic at hand. You may even demonstrate your understanding of these themes so the other readers know that your inferences aren’t just assumptions.
