Nowadays the need for energy is increasing even more with respect to the past period so the world needs new energy sources alternative to the fuel, petrol, oils, whose combustion generates greenhouse gasses emissions that are very dangerous for the environment around us. One of this new energy sources that the world is experiencing is the nuclear energy so we will try to assess how the production of this kind of energy is distributed among the countries and we will try to see if nuclear energy could be for sure considered a good alternative to the fossil combustion that is responsible of global warming. I would like to start from this picture in order to give you an idea of the distribution of the nuclear plants around the world and to identify the countries where this kind of energy is produced the most. • Developed countries such as countries of north America (United states, Canada) and of central America like Mexico have already nuclear reactors and are hoping to build new ones. For example in the united states there are 100 nuclear reactors that produced 798 billion kWh in 2015, over 19% of total electrical output. There are four reactors under construction. Following a 30-year period in which few new reactors were built, it is expected that four more …show more content…
The substances that pollute the air are mainly PM10 and Ozone. Now I will focus on the more common PM10: what are the responsible of the presence of PM10 in the air? The most important source of pm10 emissions is the anthropogenic activity in particular they come from the exhaust gases of cars so we can say that traffic is one of the most important driver of pm10. Another important source of pm10 is the combustion of wood in stoves and also
