It has always been my passion to care for people. I would like to take my passion for nursing to a higher educational and professional level. My career goal and dream is to become a nurse practitioner for geriatric patients with an emphasis in palliative/hospice care. Through the years, I have been able to make advances toward my dream. While in my undergraduate career, I chose the field of Social Work because I felt a desire to help people. After graduating with this degree in 1993, I worked in a mental health clinic training chronically mental ill patients to live independently.
