Hi everyone, My name in Oscar E Hermosillo and I am from the NAU-Yuma nursing program. I have lived since I was 7 years old in a small town called Somerton which is roughly about 10-15 miles south of Yuma. My goals for future nursing practice are kind of up in the air right now.
Patient care experience and the need for improvement toward patient-centered care is aligned with nursing excellence (Stimpfel, Sloane, McHugh, & Aiken, 2015). With the expectation of nursing excellence, the role of the nurse has expanded over the years with the current trend of focus on policy change. These policy changes are geared towards changes in patient care which will have a positive impact on patient outcomes. The nurse can become a leader in advocacy with the goal of raising awareness to health care concerns (Mason, Gardner, Outlaw & O'Grady, 2016). The purpose of this post is to describe two organizations which impact the practice of nursing and show the role these organizations play in nurse education and research.

In order to posit one’s personal philosophy he or she must have a clear understanding regarding self and the specific area (Nursing). The Cambridge Online Dictionary (2016) defined personal as “ relating or belonging to a single or particular person rather than to a group or an organization”. Doheny et al. (1997) defined philosophy as “beliefs of a person or group of persons and reveals underlying values and attitude regarding an area (as cited in Masters, 2017).
With a nurse shortage, patients are not getting the best quality care they should be getting. Nursing care for K.H : The goal for the application of the SCDNT to the care of K.H is to know the most appropriate nursing system to meet the self care demand of her condition, the system should be performed to give the optimal positive effect to achieve regulation of K.H. Diagnostic and Prescriptive Operations: Table (1) places the data from K.H case into the self care deficit theory framework, showed a summary of the negative condition of her, However, the effects of early socio-cultural factors (limited education, teenage pregnancies) are related to adult experiences an insecure, and limited resources as their financial support is low; living in the unacceptable environment by K.H , her past history and her present illness represent negative influences on her universal, developmental, and health deviation requisites. Essential universal self-care requisites (air, prevention of hazards, and prevention of harm, have been threatened by a history of smoking, inadequate relationship with husband, and psychological dependency as she is clearly depressed. The health deviation self-care requisites influenced by K.H imbalance in universal self care requisites and developmental self care requisites.
Being a nurse is not always as easy and picture perfect as people paint it to be. A nurse is expected to act perfectly professional, even when tears, anger and all-around emotions are begging to come out. A nurse must always be the one that has their life together, especially when others do not. They are there to be the ones to hold and care for others in desperate times of need. Nurses are expected to be more than just a nurse, but rather an advocate, caregiver, support system and professional.
Philosophy of Nursing Everyone’s values and beliefs about the profession of nursing are all different. The four concepts of nursing are interrelated and all mean something different to every person, too. Throughout this paper, I will be reflecting on my values and beliefs about nursing through the four concepts while comparing them to a nursing theorist with views that are most similar to my own.
Career Goal I have a few career goals such as becoming an ER registered nurse and a nurse practitioner but fist I want to be an ER registered nurse. It is used to explore the physical, psychological, spiritual and social aspect of the patient’s life. My philosophy of nursing is a statement I will stand by as a nursing student and as a graduate nurse and will continue to incorporate it into my daily care. In my eyes, nursing is the ability to provide safe, holistic care to all people regardless of their age, race, gender, social status, or sexuality. Nursing is a profession in which it is essential to be caring and respectful of all patients in which they may be experiencing the most difficult health situations of their lives and to provide culturally safe care. My values of nursing shape my practice as a nurse and are affected by my views on health.
