The importance of a journey begins with how far you're going or if you're traveling by land or water. Sometimes the destination don't matter when you're in a life risking moment or you're doing something to keep your crew alive. My quoted evidence from three different poems come together to answer one question. The journey teaches some people the importance of life and working together to keep alive and not just getting to the journey. Sometimes when some of the crew members don't work together. They die or something tragic happens to them. I'm going to connect three different cited quotes from three different poems to connect it to the main question “ When does the journey matter more than the destination”. I think the journey does matter more than the destination because it could harm you mentally, but mostly physically. Mentally could mess with your performance.

The story of Odysseus who had an adventure and in one of his journeys on his way home, his men got stuck on an island and was stranded there with no food. “ Odysseus fell in a deep sleep while his men didn't listen to him and ate one of the cattle on the land of the cyclops” lines 27-34, this was quoted from the story odysseus. Right before odysseus men did that he was told his prophecy and he sailed for his journey.

Right before the bird said the quote, he has been picked on most of his life and no one there with him through it. This quote shows expression to the reader, to make him/her feel what the little bird has gone through. Thus making the reader feel what the little bird feels or what kind of expression he is giving. Meanwhile the duck is trying to find a home or a flock that would accept his ugliness and he did, he was the most prettiest out of the flock he found and everyone in the flock loved
