The big transformation for the hero was going from a small middle school to a huge high school at Canisius. This transformation was a big journey in his life which used both the departure and initiation parts of the Journey of the Hero. This journey was a huge step in the heroes life because he was used to having the same group of friends and not having to branch out and talk to many other people because of the size of his class. That was one of many of the heroes obstacles that he had to overcome in his journey. The hero realized that his departure was starting to take place which was part of the call to adventure. The day before the hero started high school he started to feel the part of the refusal of the call because he did not feel like he was ready. He felt scared and nervous because of all of the people in the school. He did not think that he was ready because he felt insecure. The heroes parents helped to serve as a guide and mentor because the hero started to doubt that this was his journey. Although his parents kept the hero on track he still had doubts in his mind that this was not his journey. The hero was very nervous on his first day of school because it was the part of the departure in the crossing of the first threshold. He started out on his first adventure of the journey which the hero was both excited and nervous about. The journey started at Canisius High School where the amount of students there was about nine hundreds and was very overwhelming to the hero. About two weeks into the school year the hero started to feel the part of the Belly of the Whale. This is the part of the journey where this is the final separation from his known world and self. It took the hero a while to get used to the amount of work and the difficulty of both the classes and tests. His low point of the year was about a month in and by the time he had taken the first tests in each of
