Is euthanasia good if used to prevent pain and suffering?. In the book “Of Mice and Men” By John Steinbeck George had to euthanize Lennie to prevent him from suffering. I believe that we should not be held accountable for actions. George did the correct thing now here are reasons why. George did the right thing because Curley wanted Lennie to have a slow and agonizing death. He was going to shoot him in the guts and let him bleed out.
