You would never think of shooting a loved one or a close friend in the head, sometimes in life you have to make some hard decisions for the good of the whole. In the book Of Mice and Men written by John Steinbeck, George and Lennie have a strange Father/son relationship even though they are only friends. I will explain my rationale behind this theory in one of the below paragraphs. Lennie is quite childish and George is more of a strict person. Lennie has an obsession with soft things, like mice and rabbits; it is that lennie loves soft things because of his soft hearted nature. Although Lennie is slow he is a very sweet person, or at least he does not mean any harm to anyone. Theoretically if George were to be alone I think he would go a bit crazy because he would not be able to watch over anyone, like he does with Lennie.
