Today on my archeological dig in Nairobi, Africa, the same destination that famed archaeologists Mary and Louis Leakey worked, my team and I made a very exciting discovery. Most people have not considered the thought of a rather enormous snake living during the dinosaurs, but we have unknowingly uncovered an ancient monster. The snake discovered was named Titanoboa for its size, which seems to be larger than an alligator! Previously, this monstrous snake lived in Columbia, South America. It was unbelievable that the Titanoboa could be found in Africa, as well as South America.
Eva In Olympus lived a beautiful goddess named Eva. She was the goddess of life and animals, everyday Eva needed to work. And everyday she had sweat coming down the bridge of her nose to create new animals. Eva also had her personal pet, a deer.

Reflecting back on my Initial Reflection I wrote at the beginning of Writing 122, one area that I wanted to work on was being able to master all the parts in an enthymemic style essay. After 4 more essays, I believe that I can write a beautiful essay incorporating all parts of an enthymemic style essay. Through this class, I’ve developed my skills in argumentation and learned how to better introduce paragraphs. When writing my next piece, I will try to be more conscious about all the little things that need to be done to really make a good essay. I have a good grip on the basics but mastering the little things will still require some practice.
The Triple Gem The Triple Gem are the three jewels of Buddhism: Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha. When becoming a Buddhist, a person must take refuge in these three jewels. The first jewel is the Buddha.
Family is defined as a basic social unit consisting of parents and their children, considered as a group, whether dwelling together or not: the traditional family. Family is also who you learn about the world from before going out and interact with others. Your views on life, politics, ideas, religion, and different races all stems from what you learn from your household. Family is there to support, guide, and teach you. But, above all things families are supposed to love and show love to one another.
THE ISLAND Norn is the name given to island which has recently appeared in the Pacific Ocean and the booming metropolis which inhabits much of the island itself. Originally a spot of conflict as many countries tried to stake their claim upon the island rich with resources, the United Nations eventually labelled it as a land with no country. With an official language of English, currently, Norn is a place bustling with life and diverse culture as it has become a hot spot for sorting out international relations and a major port for trade. Containing the usual things that any metropolis has, such as restaurants, amusement parks, museums for the elderly and night clubs for the younger generations entertainment, Norn has also become a major
I have always LOVED Thanksgiving. This wonderful holiday reminds me of how lucky I am to have an awesome family, karate, and shelter. I have an awesome family because, they take care of me when I’m sick or hurt. They also support me, like when I was in my old school someone bullied me and I told my parents so they helped support me. Lastly, they are supper nice.
The dictionary imposes that a family is any group of persons closely related by blood, as parents, children, uncles, aunts, and cousins. I disagree. If that's the case then there are people in my so called "family" that I despise; People I dread sharing the same blood with and if I could I would excommunicate. A family doesn't have to share blood, skin color, or even ancestry. A real family is a group of people that support, love, and protect one another, and in a time of need they are there for each other.
Family, people who one feels at home with. Those who one can just be themselves with, the people. When most people think of the word "family," mother,
When you hear the word family, people automatically think that it’s a small group that is contains one or two parents and their children. Family doesn’t always mean your blood relatives, it can also be different combinations of other families, neighbors, coworkers, friends, complete strangers and even your friend’s family can become part of your family. Basically family can be anyone that you share a strong bond with. I have two different types of families, my 911 family and my entire family. My 911 family is like my go to, they mean everything to me the people that I know will always be there for me when I need them, like my parents and my siblings.
“Family” is a hard word to create a concrete definition for. If one were to ask three random people on the street, it is likely they will receive three completely different answers to defining a family. The textbook definition of family according to the etymology dictionary is: “Origin in early 15c. “servants of a household” from Latin familia “family servants, domestics collectively, the servants in a household.” The traditional dictionary describes family in a more narrow fashion stating, “a basic social unit consisting of parents and their children, considered as a group, whether dwelling together or not.”
Family is characterized with common aspects such as parents, grandparents, and siblings but there are so many other ways to distinct family. The word family is commonly defined as a group of individuals that have the same ancestors, and gather for holidays and other special events. This particular definition is true in so many ways, but everyone goes through life with situations that are brought up that bring together or break apart families. When I think about the word family and my experiences I have gone through and I would consider family to have crazy moments, lots of laughter, and unconditional love. Family to me is getting everyone together and having a good time and acting crazy with your loved ones, making memories.
I felt myself grow in my personal life. I feel happy with life. I got to experience fun moments with my significant other such as the excitement for my unexpected good essay grades or discuss the topics that were brought up in this class. I am eager to explore more into my major. I am glad that I have learned some skills for my essay, but these skills can also clean up my story telling as well.
It does not need to be blood related in order to be a family. Family is home, they are the ones who gives you unconditional love. They are the people who comforts you towards difficulties in life. The ones who I can count on in times of love problem. Family, the people whom I call my world, my world because they are the people who guides me taught me how to walk and talk when I was
