Eventually the disagreement would lead to a war over each side's moral and political
Can you imagine in world where everyone was the exact same? People would theoretically speaking never disagree but eventually there would be someone that had a different opinion and that would lead to more people having a different opinion which would in turn create factions. While the society might be able to last for a limited time, the cracks would start to show because it isn’t in our nature to all be the
“Disagreement produces debate, but dissent produces dissension.” Dissent, most of the times involves more emotion than disagreement, which might make it seem like “a cause of all others,” but it is not. During a disagreement where there are two people arguing dissent has to be in the opposition for there to be even a real argument. For example, if two people: one a volleyball fan and another a basketball fan, who both disagree on what sport is better than there's gonna be some sorta dissent involved. Though eventually an agreement can be made, there must have been some dissent present because if either person actually considered the other, there would be no argument.
Dissent in America is an extremely pressing problem that we, as a country, should address. In the excerpt from Daniel J. Boorstin’s The Decline of Radicalism, Boorstin stresses this issue in our country today- stating that dissension is the cause of all problems in the United States of America. Defined simply, disagreement means the state of being at a variance or a quarrel. When two parties agree to disagree, this can be called a disagreement. Dissent, means to withhold opinions contrary to what is acceptable and right.
I am pleading for your compassion and humanity to avail yourself in co-sponsorship of H. Res. 401 that would provide the compulsory measure to outlaw the inhumane practice against dogs and cats in all of nine countries in Asia engaging in cruel torture. As your constituent, I am haunted all but daily by the screams from the millions of animals crying for mercy of their torturers to just be allowed to die. It was a deep disappointment that the House Republican leadership and Speaker Paul Ryan did not bring H.Res. 30 to the floor for a vote.
So yes, differences not only bring conflicts in life but it makes life more
Even in a society that, overall, is diverse, people with similar ideas and experiences tend to congregate in small groups, where they are comfortable. It is much easier to remain in homogenous groups, among those who understand each other. When different groups combine, many different life experiences and points of view will be present and will potentially clash. Misunderstanding is bound to occur in some form when individuals of different backgrounds interact. When misunderstandings occur, people tend to respond with violence, fear, or stereotyping.

The Vox argument addressing "Why Obamacare premiums are spiking in 2016" was extremely confusing for me. Despite my dad working in the medical and my mom managing the finances for his office, I have never understood how health care and insurance companies work. Although we have watched the movie in class and I have read the article, I still don 't understand a large part of what they are talking about. I don 't know what the affordable care act truly entails besides meaning to make insurance cheaper and more accessible for low income families. I had no idea that people were fined for not having insurance, or that the insurance companies were going into debt because of the Affordable Care Act.
In America, people need to be eating healthier. Most people don't know what they are putting in their mouth while others think they do but don't. The obesity rate in America is 37.5%. That means this percentage of people have a BMI over 30. That's gross!
Justice is something that will always be complicated; different perspectives and opinions give it multiple meanings. One thing that goes hand in hand with justice is controversy. The dictionary definition of controversy is, “disagreement, typically when prolonged, public, and heated.” Finding a just solution for everyone and every problem is impossible. While one side may be served justly, there will always be another side that disagrees, causing conflict and separation.
With the introduction of social media and an increased access to technology, people are becoming more and more likely to let themselves delve into the great echo box of the internet where they have no obligation to be met with any other opposing opinion so they should choose. This is having the equally concerning effect where people are convincing themselves more and more that they are the moral champions of any political fight they should so choose to partake in. Both sides of the spectrum are guilty of this error and need to find ways to make meaningful dialogue or else the cultural barrier could become impenetrable. Unfortunately, this seems to becoming more and more likely as people declare themselves to be the sole proprietor of the moral high ground on any issue coupled with the fact that our President practically endorses violent dialogue in any conversation, it truly makes the hope of finding common ground in our country abysmal. Divisions are healthy and even necessary for a nation to survive, but when the divisions become too wide is there anything else to do but split?
Arguing and getting into disagreements with people is something that happens to everyone, and though fighting with people isn’t ideal, there are a few ways to make the argument conclude quicker and with less damage to a friendship or relationship. There are many different healthy ways to deal with conflict, one being a happy, positive approach that Anne Frank, author of Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl, used. Others, like Winston Churchill, could use an approach that unifies people or brings them together so everyone can fight together and be stronger. However, there are also unhealthy ways of working through an argument, such saying that the best way to deal with conflict would be to think more with emotions than being rational.
A general definition of power is ‘the capacity or ability to direct or influence the behaviour of others or the course of event’, however in a book, ‘A Radical View’, published in 1974, Steven Lukes argues the idea that there is actually three dimensions of power, therefore distinguishing between his idea of power and Robert Dahls’s interpretation on power. The three dimensions of power include ‘decision power and issue method’, non-decision making and agenda setting and manipulating the view of others in addition to the system power. Lukes interpretation of power became a significantly huge focus point when deliberating the realism of power. This essay will explore each dimension of power in fine detail and also how each of these concepts
You may be unaware, but the country we live in is ran by people’s views and opinions of certain things. Everyone has an opinion and those opinions set us apart. When we are grouped together based on our beliefs everyone sees how different we can be. Ideally, people will like whoever agrees with them and want to stick around with them, while they may question others views. That is political ideology in other aspects, the beliefs of political, economic, social, and cultural affairs of the, majority of people in a society.
