If selected for admission, there are many important contributions I can make to NOVA Southeastern University College of Optometry’s Class of 2020. One contribution is I know I can provide my peers assistance when studying for upcoming exams in their class. I am incredibly hard working person and over the years I have developed strong studying habits, became more focused, disciplined, and patient when it comes to studying for all my classes. Tutoring and assisting my peers has never been a job for me, it is something that I enjoy doing just as a hobby. I’m someone who is very passionate science, and I love reading about it, and nothing gives me better joy than helping my peers fall in love with science too the way I have. I always attended all my class and after hours and hours of understanding and memorizing the information given to us by our professors, I then developed a strong understanding of the material given to us. I then enjoyed guiding those students in the right direction who were struggling to improve their grasp and understand the information to help them develop a stronger understanding of the information given to them, providing tips to better improve their studying habits, and also help them fall in love with science the way I have. In a way this experience has helped develop my leadership qualities and helped me become more of a confident person. I was constantly stressed struggling to understand and memorize the information and keep up with all my classes, but I’m thankful and lucky for my peers and professors around me who supported my throughout undergraduate school, Saint Leo University is known for their sense of community, if it wasn’t for the support from my peers and professors around me, I don’t think I would have been able to earn my Bachelors of Science degree today.
