Towards the end of the book, Dally robs a store. After Johnny’s death dally was very upset, he goes to a convenient store and robs it. When the police are after him, he pulls out an unloaded gun and the police kill him. This part of the book is the most exhilarating because the reader felt for dally, they understood how he felt after Johnny died and what his intention was. The most important crime in the book is when Johnny kills Bob. Bob is the soc that was drowning Pony Boy. Johnny stabs bob with his six-inch blade that he carried around. Johnny automatically feels regret and later says, “I killed him, I killed that boy”. What makes this book so interesting is that most of the characters continue to do these crimes knowing the consequences.
