Treat, is an international five-star luxury hotel chain founded in 2001; to-date, the corporation does not have a presence in Australia's booming tourism industry. According to "Tourism Australia" (2015), "there were 6.8 million visitor arrivals for year ending September 2014, an increase of 8.2 percent relative to the previous year" (Visitor Arrivals Data). Tourism revenue for the last six months in 2013 alone was estimated at $51 billion dollars (Tourism Forecasts - Autumn 2014: Tourism Research Australia, 2014). Based on the impressive tourism statistics, investors see an opportunity to license a hotel franchise in Australia and to capitalize off of the corporation's successful business

According to Culture (2015), is a set of beliefs or way of life and or thinking that is defining in every decision that is made. When deciding the direction to go for Treat there are many factors that came into play; location, clientele serviced, services provided, and processes for internal success. As a luxury hotel, Treat services high end clients who are accustomed to having demands met. The culture of the organization must reflect the values of the organization. Treat was created to serve our guests with luxury accommodations but more than that, it is a place where the staff is valued and love to be. "Less efforts have focused on how decisions should be communicated inside organizations and how they influence organizational effectiveness and performance" (Mykkanen & Tempere, 2014, p. 131). To ensure that the resort has a smooth transition and a strategy to guarantee that employees are properly trained and are empowered to make decision on behalf of the organization.
Decision-making is an everyday task that takes place at all level within an organization. Treat Resort's success will depend upon how well management integrates employees into the decision-making process. When a problem arises, it is imperative that upper management should assess the situation and come up with a solution that includes input from all employees. It is necessary for management of the Retreat Resort to explore a global approach to improving organizational decision-making. Since the resort will have a franchise in Australia, it is crucial for management to cater to the natives when making decisions.
