I have different types personal values and principles including but not limited to; honesty, polite behavior, gentility, maintaining my dignity, creativity, courage, tradition, religion, freedom and liberty. Personal cultural and experience influences an individual in supporting clients and colleagues at health and social care workplace. Principles and values at the workplace include providing equal rights to each and every individual, maintaining confidentiality at the workplace, protecting the clients from any kind of abuse and harm; having own cultural beliefs and experience helps the person to make sure that it could provide better and effective services to the services users. My personal cultural and experience ensure that I serve fair and effective treatment and care to the clients. This makes it easier for me to not only manage the work process but also to protect the clients from any harm. Chambers (2010) actually suggests that this kind of experience helps to build trust among the users receiving care and hence this helps these users recover faster and better from their health issues. Developments and changes in personal values can have a great impact on the processing and focusing on work. It all depends on how these developments and changes are handled. It is important, however, to always accept these changes as well as learn new things at the workplace because this can help to refine personal skills and abilities. This can enable me to provide effective service to the clients at the work place. I have observed that some new legislation, policies, priorities, principles, values and research have been developed in health care organization. I can feel its impact on my role as a care worker. There are certain laws and legislations that can have great impact on personal values at a workplace. Data Protection Act, Equality at Work Act and so on ensure provision of fair and equal services to care users (Frontiera, et. al., 2012). In addition, the Sex Discrimination Act 1975 teaches me to express same respect to both male and female co-workers. The Human Right Act 1998 helps to justify my right in government health care.
