It might not be easy to understand some concepts like quantum physics. Nevertheless, some science fiction stories make it easy and entertaining. ”(Characteristics)

The Prince evoked so much discussion and controversy because of how he stayed in power. A lot of people found it disturbing how the Prince stayed in power as a ruler. An example of this can be about how the Prince said he was going to take down the King. The Prince said there are a lot of ways to take down a king and to deal with the Kings family. You have to kill the monarchy, so you can be the one ruler.

The Prince Machiavelli is the author of the book “The Prince”, which consists of inspiration from the Roman Empire in order to change Italy for the better. Machiavelli is inspired by how unified the Roman Empire was and realized that’s how it became so powerful. As a result Machiavelli wrote a book about what type of leader it would take to build a new and improved unified Italy. When Machiavelli wrote “The Prince” it was almost intended to recollect a hand book for rulers; however, his style of teaching was different than that of an “ethical” man.
The word Machiavellian implies the negative meaning of a man’s intentions and mind. The word was derived from an Italian renaissance thinker Niccolo Machiavelli, a philosopher, historian and most notably a political thinker. He wrote one of the most influential books which shaped the game of politics and has a massive impact on contemporary politics, the book called the prince which is practically a manual on how to obtain and maintain the power by any means necessary. What makes the book distinguishable is that it was written during the 15th century Italian renaissance time in which during that time the western world was overshadowed by the ideal dogma of Christianity. Any ideas that contradict the church’s view will immediately be excluded
The term ‘sense of wonder’ can be identified as a reaction, albeit physical or emotional, created within and by the reader/viewer, to the works of science fiction. A sense of wonder is specifically associated with the works of science fiction, as opposed to any other modes of work. A sense of wonder is an important element in the works of science fiction as it allows the works of science fiction to grow as a genre and expand in what it encompasses as a category. The feeling of wonder that is created within the reader/viewer allows the reader to have some form of control/power over the writers of science fiction themselves. Science fiction is built on the feeling of wonder – wonder drives and generates science fiction as a genre and so science fiction requires a sense of wonder to work and move forward as a genre.
According to Machiavelli, a prince who keeps his promises is generally praised. But history demonstrates that most success is achieved when princes are crafty, tricky and able to deceive others. A prince can fight or succeed by using law or by using force. The use of law comes naturally to men and the use of force comes naturally to beasts. Hence, to achieve success, the prince must learn to fight with a balance between both law and force.
Niccolò Machiavelli is definitely a very interesting, and undoubtedly controversial figure in not just philosophy and history over all, but also in reference to political and governmental aspects of society today. The question as to whether The Prince serves an accurate depiction of how politics occurs in modern states appears to me, in a sense, to be a loaded/complex question. I say this based on the notion that from a surface perspective, many of his suggested techniques for government if blatantly applied today would still be viewed as downright tyrannical, villainous, hateful, cruel, diabolical, and treacherous as they have been for over 500 years. However, upon closer inspection and unmasked breakdown of how politics operate in the modern states, his depictions look quite valid, and somewhat accurate, being employed in some form or fashion despite popular belief.
Habib Antar History 101 02 December, 2016 Citing specific evidence from Machiavelli's The Prince (not from the textbook), identify, and briefly explain, the qualities of the ideal political leader. The book, The Prince, by Niccolo Machiavelli is a philosophical book written in 1513 which illustrates the qualities, achievements and challenges faced by the "Prince". The prince should be virtuous but should also be ready to abandon the virtues in some circumstances. He should not only possess the good qualities such as merciful, faithful, humane, frank, and religious but also evil qualities which he should deliberately chose to be evil.
