Oscar Pistorius, an inspiration to most, charged with the murder of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp. On February 14, 2013, Pistorius shot Steenkamp four times through their washroom door. Pistorius was arrested for the murder of Reeva Steenkamp. After a lengthy trial Pistorius was not found guilty of murder but culpable homicide. Pistorius was sentenced to 5 years behind bars, but may only serve one sixth of his sentence in prison, which would be 10 months, and spend the rest of his sentencing under house arrest. Pistorius will also serve a lesser punishment of 3 years due to gun charges, concurrently with his more severe punishments.
