In the drama, The Diary of Anne Frank, A girl named Anne Frank, her family, and others have to live hidden in an annex to avoid getting caught by the Nazis. The people in the annex are all jews so they must hide, but they are living in a tight space so many conflicts arise. There are two very differing characters that stick out; Otto Frank and Mr. Dussel. Otto Frank is a calm and collected leader that stays rational in the sense of adversity. Mr. Dussel is an irrational person who makes decisions before thinking of the consequences. Otto Frank and Mr. Dussel have very diverse ways of facing adversity and injustice.

In the real world people typically favor genuine and nice people. For example, a good representation is politics. Candidates running for president have many different ways of facing adversity and injustice. You can see these major differences in the President’s Barack Obama and Donald Trump. People favored Obama as president because the way he faced conflict and adversity was a very efficient way. Obama, when faced with conflict he started with analyzing the problem and seeing how we can fix it in a responsible way without any violence. Obama created solutions and compromises, and used calm ways to help keep our country safe from wars. I believe that is what made him a very good president. Donald Trump uses different methods of solving conflict and adversity. Donald Trump uses fright to sold conflicts. Donald Trump tries to scare other countries so that they won’t harm the US, it may be a little effective but not in the long run. Some Americans worry he might start wars and bring back harmful things from the past, which shows that is not the right way to face adversity. So as you can see in the real world if you face adversity and injustice in a calm and responsible way then people will respect you more, and a good outcome will come more often.
