He became the official symbol of Peace movements in his time. He often led protests on peace which was supported by many followers. He was given the honor to have a sculpture in Chicago dedicated to him. The sculpture has no formal name but is often referred to as the Chicago Picasso. Picasso was also awarded with a enormous museum in Barcelona that honored his work and achievements. This museum is listed as a top ten sight to see in Barcelona (Fattore).
