Pablo Picasso once said “Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up” (Zurakhinsky). Every child is born with extraordinary imagination and superb creativity. As time goes on these qualities disappear in countless young individuals. Only the most dedicated people are able to successfully keep these qualities when they grow older. Pablo Picasso is one of those very rare people. This helped Pablo Picasso, who lived a long, good life, become one of the most well known painters of all time. Pablo Picasso was born on October 25, 1881 in Malaga, Spain to Jose Blasco and Maria Lopez (McCully). He was extremely eager to assure his legacy among the best to ever roam on the earth (Zurakhinsky). Pablo grew very confident in his work and often liked his over others. This confidence was not provided in his private life. His private life was very turbulent and rough (Fattore) He had many personal issues that many people who thought they knew him well did not know. He decided he had enough and moved to Paris waiting for a pure chance. He did not find his chance and took off for Madrid shortly after to work as an art editor in a public journal. This job helped him support and make a name for himself. While in Madrid, Picasso married Fernade Olivier who played a big role in his paintings. Out of the thousands of kids to make into the Royal Academy of San Fernando he was the fastest accepted in the school's history (Zurakhinsky) This proved to many how bright his future was and how knowledgeable he was. He became the official symbol of Peace movements in his time. He often led protests on peace which was supported by many followers. He was given the honor to have a sculpture in Chicago dedicated to him. The sculpture has no formal name but is often referred to as the Chicago Picasso. Picasso was also awarded with a enormous museum in Barcelona that honored his work and achievements. This museum is listed as a top ten sight to see in Barcelona (Fattore). Along with the museum, his work also started to top charts in the 1930’s (McCully) His work was finally being seen as top tier work in the art
