Ethics & Entertainment: Video Game Censorship In today's day and age, children go crazy over video games. There are numerous game consoles for them to choose from, and not to mention even more games then you could ever think of. However, some of these video games raise controversies, as they appear not to be suitable for certain ages. One such video games that is sparking global controversy is the notorious Grand Theft Auto V. There are debates over the censorship of this video game. Some debate this video game is just for entertainment purposes, while others deem the content as inappropriate and unethical in our society.

A typical mission for this video game requires you as the player to perform a crime of some sort in order to earn your way up the ranks. If you choose not to do the missions and just free roam the map, there are still a lot of unethical influences all around you. Examples of this are: prostitutes walking down the streets, strip clubs with uncensored nudity, drug dealers, gang bangers chasing you, and killing. The person whom wrote the back story and the dialog is an artist. The person who orchestrated the music is an artist. The person whom created the animation is an artist as well. If you took out everything you knew about Grand Theft Auto V and just broken it down into its separate parts, you could see how this can be viewed as having artist value.
