The Scientific Revolution occurred roughly between 1550 and 1700. Some people also refer to the time period to be between the lives of Nicholas Copernicus and Issac Newton, to state who the revolution started with and who it ended with (Hatch). It doesn't mean there aren't changes to our scientific processes today, this was just a time period in our history that has recorded information of large changes happening often. The changes were very large and many people were against the views of the men who made the changes/discoveries. Since people put their religion first, the sudden views that made God nonexistent were immediately ignored by citizens and courts ordered many scientists to stay in their homes at all times.
Darwin's finch changed traditional religious thinking about evolution. "It is not the strongest of species that survive, not the most intelligent that survives. It is the most adaptable to change." (good reads). Charles Darwin's discoveries changed a God centered belief to a God passive belief with the evolutionary process.

In the 1540, a new view on science rose, this view led to modern science, known as the Scientific Revolution. The Scientific Revolution is an historical change in thoughts and beliefs about science. There were many smart people alive during the Scientific Revolution but the person, Nicolas Copernicus, was probably one of the smartest around in his time. He was an astronomer ,but one day he noticed from his observations was that there was something wrong with the geocentric theory. His discovery was the lead to the Scientific Revolution.
The Scientific Revolution has revolutionized the world with the inventions made during that time. The items that were made still possess value even today, providing building blocks for things that we make in the present. However, it wasn’t always that way. Science and religion have been at war for the longest time, perhaps reaching its peak during the Scientific Revolution. There were many in the Catholic Church and outside of it, such as other scientists and philosophers, who were in agreement with the Scientific Revolution that was occurring between them, such as John Calvin and Doctor Charleton.

It may be common knowledge to know that Creationism was a principle theory in the realm of science during this time period. Creationism was taught in our schools and institutions, but during this age that mentality took a pivotal shift. Creationism, which is believe in a supernatural creator came under threat by rising, new theories. Theories such as Darwinism began there moment of birth during this time period. It would be by the writing’s of Charles Darwin that society would come to know of Darwinism.

Before the scientific revolution, many people based their life on religion and the bible. During this period of time, people began to change the way they believed as well as changing the way they lived. Many began to question things such as ideas of philosophy, astronomy, and biology. Some of the ideas were transformed and led to many modern sciences that we learn about today. People realized that the things that they had always been told to believe in can be questioned, and be proved to be wrong.
Charles Darwin was a very different geologist compared to the geologist who had come before him. Charles Darwin was and is one of the most influential and well known scientists to date.
