Omar Abutaleb Mr. Terry English IV-6 2 November 2017 Intro On December 21, 1988, Pan Am Flight 103 exploded over the country Scotland departing from London 38 minutes in the air. The 259 passengers on the plane were killed as well as 11 people roaming the ground. One theory suggested that it was revenge for the Iran air flight 655, and the leader responsible for this was Ahmed Jibril. Another theory proposed that it was really a cover-up of a CIA drug smuggling ring. One more theory that many believe is true that Abu Nidal, a popular international terrorist, was acting on behalf of Colonel Gaddafi.
