Bessie Colemen was born in 1892. She was an African American woman who fought racism and sexism and achieved her own dream. In fact Bessie studied in a flight school in France for seven months. She made money that she never had, learned a whole different language that Bessie wasn't even familiar with, and earned the first female international pilot license.
