The Darkness He stretched out his hand and grabbed the old beat up bronze doorknob. The freezing knob sent chills up his spine, the door creaked open and he was immediately hit with a putrid smell that traveled through his nostrils and then in his mouth leaving him with an acerbis taste.
Every screeching step he took into the room made him cautiously glance over his shoulder, soon enough he noticed that the grey dusty floor had footprints from the high top converse he was wearing. After awhile his eyes adjusted to the intimidating darkness that surrounded him. The only light source he had was from the moon, its rays shined through the patchy black curtains like glistening white light.

It's dark colored wood made it almost invisible in the room, complex carving and writing made this clock far from the ordinary, his eyes followed the interesting carving to the pendulum which had been replaced by a shiny sharp ax. The moonlight bounced of the polished head of the ax.
Ricocheted light from the ax made his eyes dawn on a hidden arcane box, the box was on a old rustic desk that was pushed up against the wall. Aged light brown wood made up the desk, deep ridged crack in the fragile desk made it seem as if it were to collapse at any time.
