Client’s need: Kathy and Franklin’s relationship is struggling. Franklin has dedicated many hours playing video game. Kathy is to now to the point to leave Franklin is he doesn’t change on his video problem. Both clients are Protestants, seem in good health. Kathy seems very open to come here as a last resort. Franklin seems less open, but ready to get work somewhere to keep the marriage alive.

CH Reynoso (WHAT’s BETTER QUESTION): So what’s going better since we last met?
Kathy: Since last time, things have gone wrong. We met one time with you and he started changing a little, but dropped back to his old ways.

Franklin: Right.

CH Reynoso: What you think if in the next week you pick one day and pretend that the miracle has happened and look for what difference it makes.

Franklin and Kathy: Ok.

CH Reynoso (COPING QUESTIONS): Kathy, how do you manage to deal with such difficult situations each day?
