MICHOACAN History of Michoacán The history of Michoacan has been studied by archaeological vestiges and other historical resources, such as the literary work of Michoacán, written in 1542, and it is known that the first settlers of the state were several Chichimecas tribes that arrived in different years, and consequently evolved in a different way. The archaeological zones that have been found in the state, and that have helped to clarify the history of the birth and development of the ethnicities that gave inheritance and essence to the cultural configuration of Michoacán, date from the formative period or Preclassic (1500 a. C. to 200 to . C.), from the classic (200 a. C. A 800) and Postclassic (800 to 1000), and among them are: El Opeño,
When I was young my mother would constantly divulge me in a scary story of the chupacabra. It’s grisly and always frightened me into being obedient. The description of the chupacabra is a mixture between a bear, goat, and man with spikes running along the back. The chupacabra, which translates to “goat-sucker”, drained the blood of living creatures, goats specifically. As I grew I’d share with my friends the chupacabra myth only to discover that they had no idea what I was talking about.
In almost every region there is always some type of celebration. Celebrating the transition from a child to a young adult. In Hispanic cultures they celebrate this transition is similar as the American culture. However the festive way “Quinceañera” & “Sweet sixteen” also has its distinction. In this festive hispanic tradition “Quinceañera” is celebrated when a girl turns 15 and transform herself to a young women.

“It’s different cultures that make the world go ‘round at the end of the day.” This famous quote was said by Samantha Fox. The United States of America’s culture differs greatly from those of other regions in the world. Some of those variations are diverse foods, populations, religions, foods, et caetera.
I remember sitting in the car when I asked my mom to change the “estación de radio” from 96.1 to Kiss FM and in that moment she snapped. She frustratingly asked in Spanish, “¿por qué no te gusta oír música en español? ¿ Por qué no eres como tus hermanas?” That’s when it finally stood out to me that I am not like the rest of my family.
In every culture there are artifacts that serve the same purpose, but they have different meanings because of their history. Baskets, weapons, bowls and various other artifacts are good examples of this. Costa Rica is a small country located in Central America. It was a peaceful place until the Spanish arrived around 1522 and started colonizing it (my trans.; Costa Rica Embassy). Many of the American Indian tribes that lived there were almost destroyed, like in many other places.
The key facts and critical issues presented in the Patagonia focuses on customers & the environment case is all the attention and focus was on the customers. I do not recall reading anything pertaining to how the customers feel about the company. Patagonia did care for their employees, no one ever wanted to leave the company. The company focused some much time and dedication to its employee and their families that they forgot about customers. Patagonia wants employees to remain who they are when they come to work, always (Ferrell, Hirt, Ferrell, 2009).
Geography Panama is a narrow and lengthy country. Panama is about 77,082 square kilometers(772 kilometers) in length, and is between 60 and 177 kilometers in width. Panama is bordered by the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. With theses oceans come several good harbors and of course the Panama Canal. But with all of this there comes many rainforests, mixed forests and tropical savanna.
During my two interviews my with my two people of the Hispanic culture I came to find they were both had a good level of health literacy from a quick glance. It’s interesting I came to this conclusion fast after asking them each their questions, because I barely know these two on a personal level. Raul I met last year at comicpalooza, where we bonded over love over television and movies and came in contact since, mostly having conversations about show/movies; but never had conversations on anything like this level. Francis I met over swim class this fall at UH recreation center, so I came to the conclusion to pick two people I didn’t really know to ask these questions for this paper.
I’m the first generation of my family to be Mexican -American, but I have been introduced to the Mexican culture since I was born. I appreciate the difficulties my parents have faced to make me the person that I am today even though I wasn’t born in Mexico my parents have taught me the language and the culture which I’m so proud of being part of. For others being Hispanic is actually being born in any Latin American countries which is not true at all. Being Hispanic is much more than my cultural background it actually describes how much I appreciate my culture and how I get to experience things other people don’t. I fit into the Hispanic community through the experiencing the culture first hand ,participating in traditions and planning to include my culture in my future.
I am a proud Latina woman who was born and raised in Bolivia. I understand the importance of sharing our Latino culture with people that do not understand or belong to it. By sharing our cultural values and differences at the university, we can create a diverse environment of understanding and acceptance. As a Latina who is both in STEM and business major, I have encountered people who stereotype Latinos as people who merely work menial jobs and although many of our people operate in these field, that is something I don’t feel ashamed of. But, I also believe that we can stand out in many other professional fields that are not traditional for Hispanic people.

I have shared several aspects of Colombian culture with the UNF community, mainly with other Bio/Chem majors whom I study with. First, I have introduced my study groups to Colombian cuisine. Not only have I described the difference in cuisine throughout Colombia, but I have taken some of my friends to local Colombian Restaurants. Additionally, I have introduced them to Colombian music, such as Carlos Vives, and have taught some members of my study groups how to dance. Most importantly though, I have gotten people excited about Colombia, especially Bogota.
After looking at the data of Central American countries, I decided I would want to live in Panama. There are multiple factors that influence my opinion. Panama has one of the highest human development indexes in Central American and would be a very stable country to live in. Services are the highest gross domestic product composition in Panama which shows it is a highly developed country. The gross domestic product in general is high and increasing, showing that an abundance of goods are being produced.
