The peaceful civil disobedience doesn't always cause a negative effect on the community. In a free society, it is very important that the voices of the people are heard. The first amendment our Bill of Rights is the freedom of speech, religion, press, and assembly. It makes us a free society in which we can express opinions, gather together, and promote our own choices. A peaceful civil disobedience has a positive impact in that it allows the people to express what they feel as wrong and bring change to the society. Certain laws are made for a certain time period and peaceful civil disobedience brings about different or new changes to the old law to update the laws for the modern generation. If we look back at the United State's history we see one major event that caused a drastic change, African American history. When we see the modern generation, there are many people with many different races in the United States. But when we go back in time, we see white dominance in society. We can ask the question: "what caused that change?" The answer is civil disobedience. When we look at it, peaceful disobedience is a good thing that it makes a new world for the modern era. Those African Americans gain the respect and freedom they have today due to the civil disobedience, but also we gain the smart African American inventors' inventions we have today like Mark Dean, who was part of the inventors of IBM
