James, Christina, and Hugh, who would be the best candidate for MOOC (Massive Open Online Courses). They have to be open-minded and have great time management. The only person according to their essay that fits those specific trait is James Gregory and the essay is “Chunky Peanut Butter”. MOOC is a Massive Open Online Course. Its different from traditional college.
My third hypothesis is that the Member’s Mark will hold the most pennies when it is dry because Member’s Mark is two-ply and appears the thickest. PROCEDURE To prepare for both experiments I will acquire five brands of toilet paper, rubber bands, and a stopwatch from local stores. There is no control group for any of the experiments because I am comparing brands of toilet paper.
Introduction The purpose of this Lab was to identify the density of the unidentified object and determine what substance the unidentified object given by the teacher was. The density calculated in the experiment will stay the same because the density of the unidentified object will stay constant. The Independent Variable of this experiment was the calculated density and the unidentified object given. The Dependant Variable for this experiment was the density.
Abstract During this experiment we will produce Isopentyl Acetate via the fisher mechanisms. The alcohol group is converted into an ester giving off a banana scent. This reaction does not favor the products therefore we must add an excessive amoinut of Acetic Acid to shift the equilibrium to favor the products. Our results showed a successful reaction by comparing our boiling results and infrared results to the textbook data on Isopentyl Acetate. Introduction Isopentyl Acetate is an ester that is commonly referred to as banana oil, this is due to the similarity in odor of bananas.
1. What was your theoretical yield and your percent yield? Theoretical yield: 3.9151 g Percent yield: 79.30% 2. An accurate percent yield must be below 100% Why?
This conducted experiment involved the preparation of 1-butyl ethanoate, an ester. Ester is an important functional group that can be synthesized by several methods. Firstly, reaction of a carboxylic acid and an alcohol through condensation reaction to form an ester with two conditions: extended heating under reflux and in the presence of catalyst such as p-toluene sulfonic acid, concentrated sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, or the acid form of an ion exchange resin. This procedure is generally known as Fischer ester synthesis. It is reversible but proceeds slowly and therefore a catalyst should be used.
Growth and Value Creation at Sunflower Nutraceuticals Sunflower Nutraceuticals (SNC) is a nutraceuticals distributor based in Miami, Florida. Prior to 2012, SNC had flat annual sales growth with total revenues of $10 million and had been experiencing financing issues due to its thin margins and high working capital intensity. Miami Dade Merchant’s Bank (MDM) was SNC’s previous financier, but refused to increase SNC’s line of credit of $3.2 million, which was limiting SNC’s ability to grow because of the working capital constraints. In 2012, SNC decided to accept an alternative financing option from Averell & Tuttle (AT), an investment bank. AT provided SNC with a line of credit of $3.7 million at a 10% interest rate for a 10% equity stake.
PROCEDURE My experiment was to test if color affects people’s sense of taste. My problem questioned, “Between a yellow sugar cookie and a blue sugar cookie, which cookie will people prefer?”. My hypothesis predicted that people will prefer the yellow cookie instead of the blue cookie because yellow is associated with happiness. To investigate my hypothesis I made cookie dough and then split the dough into two
My Story On What It is Like To Have A Severe Peanut Allergy I was a mere three-year-old at the time, transfixed eyes wandering up at my mom watching her devour some seemingly delicious cashews. “Can I try one?” I questioned with a huge grin plastered onto my face. “Of course!” my mom warmly replied back at me, handing me what I wished for.
In Ancient Greece, women were viewed as inferior beings. Feminism was unknown in Ancient Greece. Women feared many things, such as angering the gods, being physically abused, or coming upon death. Women were frightened to speak against men and oppose society. They way women have been treated has been an issue for many years.
The main strength of conducting this experiment is that is shows the behavior exactly as it occurs in the real world.
Thus the measurements will repeat for each experiment, where the paper cup’s height from the ground varies in each
However, as I planned for the experiment, my research question changed. For the first planning for the experiment, I had two sections. They were each related to learning modalities, and
Conclusion In conclusion my hypothesis was right and the wet bread grew the most (and only) mould. I can logically assume that the more moisture the bread has, the more mould it will grow. This was a fair test because each of the bread pieces had equal time to grow. The End In this experiment the conductor finds out that mould needs moisture thus needs to be included to conduct the experiment.
Step two: Students placed their samples from the lake into four separate pans, which would later be carried to the lab to be analyzed. Step three: Before leaving the field there was about 16 round finfish that was captured and released back into the lake. Step four: In the lab, each student was placed in four different subgroups and given a pan full of samples from the lake. In each subgroup, students
