Many people seem to know about the event Pearl Harbor, yet many think we were free from blame and Japan had been provoked by other world powers. In fact, not many people tend to know that we caused quite a bit of hatred within Japan. Numerous things led up to the attack of Pearl Harbor, mainly being the fact that Japan had previously craved world domination, had been segregated by the United States, and had been prevented from trading by the United States. All these led to anger being built up in Japan. The plan of Pearl Harbor had been stirring in the mind of Japan many months in advance.

One of the first of many reasons Japan attacked was because they already had a lustful desire to dominate the entirety of the world. Japan felt that they were living in the past, and that the world needed a new power in charge. They saw Europe and the U.S. As the old order. Japan even had begun giving schools a book called "The Way of the Subjects," which was meant to teach and give the idea that western culture "was harmful and was corroding some of the pure values of the Japanese people." Japan saw themselves as the "new order" and begun attacking nearby colonies and countries to expand their territory. Yet if we look to this, European countries acted very similar in the past, attacking countries for their land, striving for world domination, too. …show more content…

In fact, in California during the 1920s, Californian people began to oppose Japanese people working within the state. The reason they began to act so was due to fear of their jobs being claimed by the Japanese people themselves.
