Sir Perceval Gales, clad in full plate armor, slashed his sword at his opponent with ferocity. “I will take you down,” threatened Perceval, breathing hard and advancing. His adversary lunged forward; Perceval feinted right, yet the rival’s blade whistled through the air and smashed into Perceval’s helmet with a shattering clang. Ears ringing and jarred from the solid blow, Perceval took blind swipes at his opponent until his sword connected with the man’s armor. Head still spinning, he was unsure which body part he’d struck; nonetheless, Perceval stumbled ahead, ready to take the opposer down, as promised.
