In the book To Kill a Mockingbird, Harper Lee used many literary techniques throughout the chapters. One technique she used is juxtaposition and occurred in part one, between chapters ten and eleven. Juxtaposition is a comparison tool, used by putting two things next to each other for comparison. Jem and Scout developed different views from chapter ten to eleven showed by this comparison. Harper Lee's decision to juxtapose the events which happen is chapter ten and eleven highlight the lesson they learn.

I believe this thematic statement suits the story because throughout the book there are lots of surprises, and most situations don't go the way people predict they will. For example, Aunt Alexandra was first seen as mean, according to her attitude towards Scout. At the end of the book Aunt Alexandra hands Scout her overalls, as mentioned in the story, "the garments she most despised." Because she always wanted Scout to be a lady and wear dresses.
Green is a color that is mostly associated with the emotion, envy. Color symbolism is common in many different works and is generally associated with emotion. In this scene, Emma is at the peak of her unhappiness with her marriage and therefore at the peak of her envy towards other people she sees around her. The green hat that Emma wears symbolizes the constant envy she feels towards the peaceful people she comes in contact with. The mockingbird in To Kill A Mockingbird is symbolic of innocence. Early in the novel, Atticus, the father tells the children Scout and Jem that it is a "sin to kill a mockingbird". Later Scout asks Miss Maudie what he meant by that because she has never heard her father say anything was a sin. Miss Maudie explains his reasoning by saying that all mockingbirds do is provide beautiful music. They do not harm anyone, they don't bother anyone, and they "sing their hearts out for us."
These ‘threatening creatures’ depict a fish sprouting from a large pomegranate which spews a tiger from which another tiger appears while a rifle is in front of its head aimed at the women. The tigers may represent the bee due to both having similar colour pallets of yellow and black to orange and black as both are also striped. This may mean that the rifle is symbolism of the ‘sting’ of the bee., as it touches or nearly touches the woman’s right arm, this near contact may be representing that of the contact of the bee’s stinger with Gala’s flesh.
