The main character has many differences. Book Percy Jackson and movie Percy Jackson differ in their ages, in the book Percy is 12 however, in the movie he is 16. Another character, Annebeth, is similar to Percy in the aspect that she is supposed to be 12 and not 16 like how the movie portrays her. Also, she is supposed to have blond hair and gray eyes, whereas in the movie she has brown hair and brown eyes. Percy is very unsure of what is going on and Annabeth helps him. Grover, physically, is completely different, in the movie he is a African American 16 year old and in the book he is a caucasian 12 year old with red hair. Also, in the book, Grover is a lot more jittery and not very confident in himself. One other thing that occurred was the deletion of some characters for the movie, such as Mr. D, Ares, Clarisse,
