Percy Jackson was the better hero than Odysseus. Percy Jackson was a great leader and he meets the qualifications needed to be a better hero. Qualities that a hero should possess in order to be a leader are quick- thinking, caring for others, and trusting the right people.
Percy Jackson is the better hero because he is a quick thinker. When Percy and his friends were swallowed up by Charybdis Percy instantly decided they needed to find a way out fast. Percy soon came up with an idea to help his friends out safely. Percy was also a great thinker when it came to stealing the golden fleece from Polyphemus. Once everybody retrieved Grover, Percy came up with a plan to retrieve the fleece and his plan was successful.
Another trait that good leaders have is being able to care for others. Percy is very strong emotionally and he always makes sure that his friends and family are safe. When Grover was captured and sent to Polyphemus, Percy knew that he had to go and save him as well as retrieve the golden fleece so he could save everyone at camp. Percy was a trustworthy person and he would never purposely make enemies with somebody. Percy was an understanding person and he put trust in people. When Percy was younger he wasn't very smart when it came to trusting people because he got betrayed several times, but he later learned about trusting the right kinds of people.Percy was so kind, his friends and fellow Half Bloods would always have his back. He made lots of friends and there was always someone who would pop up when least expected and they would have Percy's back and save him. Percy always ended up with good people who would have his back Percy showed them that he would have theirs as well and proved to be a good
