My work ethic and study habits are strong. Quizlet, flashcards, and notes are all study tools I use. I have been on Honor Roll for each year at Jack Jouett Middle School and get all A 's. When confused about a concept, I always ask for help early so I understand it before the unit becomes further difficult. Math and science are interesting and bring challenges.

I think great artists and great engineers are similar, in that they both have a desire to express themselves” (Isaacson 736). This is a famous quote by the one and only Steve Jobs. He is one of many computer engineers that have become really successful off this thing we like to call technology. Steve Jobs turned a non-paying job just building computers in his parent’s garage into one of the biggest technology companies on the planet (Steve Jobs Biography). I think that through hearing the ideas of others and seeing student work and progress, I was able to get more into teaching the lessons to my students and becoming the best teacher I could be. I also learned a lot about myself as a student and as a teacher through the assignments of creating and teaching literacy lessons in a classroom. I struggled initially with the phonemic awareness and phonics lessons because I have no memory of even learning these subjects in school. I was able to meet with the kindergarten teacher at the school I work for and see how she integrates literature into her classroom constantly. It was beautiful to watch students go from having no idea what the three letter word on their paper was, to sounding it out on their arm, blending it all together, and then suddenly fully understanding what it said.

Most importantly, this award taught me life lessons that have shaped me into the individual that I am today and that will endure with me eternally.

I will be able to make my family really proud and motivate my sister that she will be reach that goal too two more years after me. During high school, one of my accomplishments has been moving up in my class rank.
Although all these things are what I would define as academic success, I can’t honestly say I follow all of them. Things I need to work on fixing are my procrastination problems when it comes to studying and working on projects and talking to my teachers more often when I’m lost on the material we’re covering or confused on what to do for an assignment. Many people have these issues as well, but that doesn’t make it an excuse for me to just leave them be. By working harder to make myself a better student, I’m also helping myself develop life skills that are necessary in the working world.
A personal accomplishment of mine that marked childhood to adulthood would most likely be when I got my first job at McDonalds in April 2015. This is a big personal accomplishment because I never would've thought that I'd be getting me my first job at the age of 16. It all started at the beginning of April when I walked in & saw a sign that stated "apply here at mchawaii.net" that night I did just that, I applied for my very first job. The next morning was like any other morning, but just a little more excited than usual waiting for my call about the job.
My plan to achieve academic success To achieve academic success is to make sure I get everything done on time, and manage to complete high school. I believe academic success is important because of all the opportunities it offers in the future. If you can succeed in schooling there is a better chance of doing well in life. This can be achieved numerous ways whether it be through intense studying, making sure I get all my stuff turned in on time, making sure im satisfied with my work, and whether I am able to get all the knowledge to get out of highschool and go to college. Studying is an important part of doing well in school because of how it gets me through tests, homework, or class assignments.
