Job Shadowing The term teacher is a title that comes with many descriptions such as educator, mentor, parent away from home, counsellor but the one link between all of these adjectives is groomer. A teacher grooms their students and shapes their lives in such a manner that prepares them for the outside world and helps them reach their full potential. Why did I choose this career path?
Well the answer is pretty simple I have reached this point in my life because of the career field of teaching. I am the product of two qualified teachers both with masters’ degrees. Unlike me, my parents didn’t have the luxury of unlimited career options, growing up in poverty they could only go to a college which would give them a bursary. This limited their options and coincidently they both became teachers. My parents are my role models, hardworking, God fearing Christians whom I completely look up too. Life science has never been my strong suit but when I received my case study back with the mark of 87,5% I was ecstatic but what really got to me was the message next to that mark in big red pen ,”You have so much insight in this subject. Keep it up and study harder.” This assignment has since been framed on my bedroom wall.
In order to study in this career field one needs a high school diploma, it would be highly recommended that life science be one of your 7 subjects. To teach you must complete a bachelor’s degree in college/university.
