There might be no one out there watching me but walking off the field knowing I got to do what I love is enough to keep me going.
Although I have never played the game of football, watching it and many other sports, live and on television, is one of
The sport of football is apart of my life and I have been playing it with my school friends forever. The sport is also a tremendous part of my family, because we watch games together all the time and it brings us together. It is also something I talk about with my friends, and it brings us together and makes us feel as one. The game also keeps me in shape and makes me stronger for the other things I enjoy in life. As I said before, the sport means a lot to me, and helps me out with other
Sports is everything to me, it gets me through life, teaches me lessons, and makes me who I am. My first sport that I ever played was baseball. Whenever me and my family went to the park it was to do drills and play baseball. Being the youngest and believe it or not the shortest it seemed that's all we did.
As a little boy I had big dreams of playing football. When I was walking in the halls of the intermediate and middle school and saw the high school football players with their jerseys on, they were like super stars. I looked up to them because I wanted to be like them. The high school football players were popular, they were happy, and they were important to the school. Going to the football games on Friday nights was the highlight of my week.
As soon as I step on that red dirt all my worries, problems, and thoughts leave for the 2 hours that I am on the field. Softball has meant so much to me because I struggle with school, I’m not artistic, and I can’t really play any instruments, so without softball I wouldn’t have anything. Softball is the one thing I’m good at and I love playing it. When I step on the red dirt with the other eight girls we work together and we put aside our differences for 2 hours. Those two hours with the other girls make softball so much more enjoyable because they love the game as much as I do and it is truly amazing how sports brings people together.
Playing football means so much to me because it helps me to not be depressed all the time and to prove to doctors that I can play the sport even with narcolepsy and cataplexy. Also, I want to prove to many people that told me it will be extremely difficult to major in Civil Engineering and play football at the same time. Engineering itself is very difficult, especially when you start the introduction of your major your junior year. Last but not least, football can help me pay for school by earning a scholarship, even though I walked on. This motivation helps me for schooling because all of my first cousins played college ball on an athletic scholarship.
What Football means to me Think about the time in your life when you had no worries, and you just focused on having fun. For most people, that time is childhood. I was a happy child who enjoyed the companionship of friends, but most of all, I enjoyed football. I had started out playing soccer, but gave it up for football. I decided to try the sport after I realized all of my friends were having so much fun playing.
Ever since I was a toddler, I loved sports. Baseball, basketball, it did not matter; I just liked to run. When I was around 4 or 5, I was in the living room watching the Steelers play the Cardinals and saw Santonio Holmes grab a game winning touchdown to win the Superbowl. I was so excited that I jumped up in the air and I told my dad, “Daddy when I grow up I want to play football and I want to score a lot of touchdowns just like 10 does.”
Football had a major impact on my life, playing football helped me to communicate with others creating an brotherly bond with my fellow teammates. Playing this sport taught me a lot like size doesn't matter, it's all about hard work and dedication like it's your last time playing on the field. Football showed me how to be mentally and physically strong, to be a leader and lead by example. This sport became apart of my life being apart of the community and making my town happy, I love playing this sport and being with my teammates because even when there is time it's an easy day my teammates always push me to do my best so I can get better every time I'm on the field. Football helped me to care about others and to do what I have to help my
Football is more than a sport, it is something that is a significant artifact to myself as well as my family. My father and mother were raised on the earlier stages of football. Just as I was, these two grew up watching football every weekend with there own family. My father and grandfather were the only ones in his family that enjoyed watching football.
